The 16 ounce mason jar's body is thickened and clear and has a square round shape with a wide mouth. The glass jars are created from machine blown lead free soda-lime glass, and fitted with a rolled edge iron lid, screw on closure. The jar comes with a lid, which can be silver, gold, or black, and holds 500ml / 16 oz / pints of product, packaged for use with food, beverages, candles, honey or decorative jars.

For actual thermal canning jars, process suitability should also be confirmed separately—this product cannot be sterilized by boiling.
